The corner of Pym & Victoria Streets in the beautiful country village of Millthorpe is the home of Tonic. Tony & Nicole Worland renovated the old 1890's heritage 'emporium' and in November 2003 created a restaurant that has earned 3 successive SMH chef's hats.
Coupled with Tony's culinary commitment, fresh local produce is the key to the popularity of the restaurant. Some of the area's locals drop by with produce fresh from the ground and so the menu changes slightly to accommodate what has been dropped off.
Tonic is now producing it's own label of jams and preserves and has recently opened up the old theatre next door (another heritage building) to host functions for weddings, all occasion parties and corporate affairs. The old theatre has been completely renovated and can hold up to 100 seated revellers.
If there is one place you should visit whilst venturing through Millthorpe it's Tonic restaurant.
When it comes to preparing meals Chef Tony Worland is a maestro and his skills are well known to many.
Classified by the National Trust, Millthorpe is a picturesque historic village set amid farms and a rural landscape. Tourists travel from near and far to view the town which is located just a few minutes from Orange.
